An island containing endless beauty, with travellers coming from all over the world to this haven of natural delights.

Fraser Island, also known as ‘K’gari,’ the aboriginal word for paradise, is a stunning region to visit during your Australian adventure. Being a historic region full of unique wildlife, unforgettable attractions, and more! Still not convinced. Have a look at the attractions that have put Fraser Island on the tourist map!

  • 75-mile beach

Have you ever wanted to zoom along a beach in a state of the art four-wheel drive? Well, Fraser Island is for you, with the 75-mile beach offering visitors to skyrocket down the long beachfront for a truly unforgettable adventure. The 75-mile beach is, you guessed it, 75 miles long, giving you plenty of time to get your bearings as you speed along the soft sand and spray the shallow seawater as you go!

  • Eli Creek

Journey down Eli Creek for a tranquil adventure after your adrenaline-inducing beach drive. Here the creek is clear and refreshing, with the slow current pushing you down the winding route until you hit the beach. Many visitors start at the start of the middle of the creek and allow the current to move them through the thick bushland as they marvel at the stunning natural scenery. There are multiple picnic areas along the creek, so you don’t have to finish at the beach, but instead stop at one of these incredible spots for lunch!

  • Lake McKenzie

A picture-perfect location of crystal-clear waters, stunning bushland, and golden sand, Lake McKenzie is truly worth all the hype it gets! Have your worries melt away as you dip into the warm waters, or simply to lie in the soft sands and soak up the summer sun.

  • Maheno Shipwreck

This historic attraction is perfect for those wanting to learn a little bit more about this island’s past. The Maheno Shipwreck features a rusting ship along the golden sand of Fraser Island’s coast, being swept up to shore in 1925 after a cyclone hit the region. One of the best times to see this attraction is during the sunrise and sunset as the rusting metal glows in the brilliant orange glow!

  • Champagne Pools

To enjoy the salty seawater, head to these massive rock pools found along the coast of Fraser Island. Named ‘Champagne’ due to the bubbly foam that covered the pools when the waves crash against the nearby rocks, giving a completely natural hot tub experience.
